Get the Running Started

A 1-hour run training session designed for people who are either new to running or starting back again after a break.
We’ll do a gentle 15 minute walk/jog warm up, including some dynamic exercises, to the starting point of our main workout. The starting point will vary from week to week so we get to see a different location and possibly a different view! The main workout will last for approximately 30 minutes and will alternate between hill sessions, interval training, fartleks and sprints. We’ll focus on technique, stamina, breathing, posture and the overall enjoyment of running! We’ll then walk/jog back to the start for some gentle post-run stretches.
Pace is not important – the session is based in one location so you can all work at your own pace and be as competitive or non competitive as you like! BUT…you will be encouraged and motivated by the rest of the group making it a thoroughly sociable, enjoyable session. Who knew getting fit could be such fun?!
