DESCRIPTION:This is a FREE social run every fortnight. Join me and other like-minded runners for a guided OFF ROAD run of approximately 7-8km. \n\n\n\nYou are advised to wear trail shoes for this event and you will need a head torch. We welcome runners who have never experienced night time trail running before\, but please ensure you are capable of covering the distance and the terrain – any questions please ask! \n\n\n\nThe pace will be leisurely – it’s not a race\, but you should be confident in running this distance off road\, and there will probably be some hills involved. There will be a lead runner to guide the route and a tail runner to make sure no one gets left behind. \n\n\n\nThe route will take just over an hour\, but maybe a bit longer depending on our pace. \n\n\n\nThe event is free and places are limited – click below to sign up via Ticket Tailor.

The starting point will vary from week to week so we get to see a different location and possibly a different view! The main workout will last for approximately 30 minutes and will alternate between hill sessions\, interval training\, fartleks and sprints. We’ll focus on technique\, stamina\, breathing\, posture and the overall enjoyment of running! We’ll then walk/jog back to the start for some gentle post-run stretches. \n\n\n\nPace is not important – the session is based in one location so you can all work at your own pace and be as competitive or non competitive as you like! BUT…you will be encouraged and motivated by the rest of the group making it a thoroughly sociable\, enjoyable session. SUMMARY:Slaughterford 9
DESCRIPTION:Returning again for 2026! The Slaughterford 9 is a multi-terrain race over around 9 (about 8.5) miles of steeply undulating countryside\, carrying a sting in its tail! \n\n\n\nWhilst tackling around 900 feet of ascent/descent in the Slaughterford valley\, runners will encounter tarmac\, stony paths\, fields\, tracks and green lanes. So\, this is a typically technical course and during winter you can expect to find varying quantities of muddy paths. \n\n\n\nThe terrain of the course consists of around 75% off-road. The route will be well marshalled\, and sign posted with a water station provided before half-way (around 4 miles). \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that this event is not organised by No Regrets Running. Details given here are for information purposes only and should not be relied upon. You should check with the organiser to confirm dates\, times\, starting locations\, costs and all other details.
