27 April @ 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Starting on the southeastern edge of the city The Bath Beat takes the walker or runner out into the countryside through the woods, hills and river valleys of this southerly edge of The Cotswolds. There are four distances of 12.5, 17, 21 and the popular 26.5 miles, all pass several checkpoints where there are always plenty of homemade cakes and sandwiches to keep you going.

On the 21 and 26 mile routes, there is hot food and drinks provided in a hall halfway around. Entry also includes recovery, should you not be able to make it back under your own steam, a certificate for those who do make it, and plenty of food and drink. All routes follow public footpaths and also go along a historical disused canal and across farmland with scenic views.

The longest route will visit the villages of Bathford, Avoncliffe, Hinton Charterhouse, Norton St Philip, Wellow and Combe Hay before returning to Bath on the Somerset Coal Canal and the village of Midford.

There is a further description of the route in the links page with links to the various things you will see along the way.
